Colorado Foreclosure Law

The effective date of the majority of the amendments to the Colorado foreclosure statutes passed during the 2006 regular session of the Colorado General Assembly, House Bill 06-1387 (certain amendments took effect in 2006), has been pushed back from July 1, 2007, to January 1, 2008, by House Bill 07-1157.  HB07-1157 also includes additional significant amendments to Colorado's foreclosure statutes, so HB07-1157 should be reviewed in conjunction with HB06-1387 as the January 1, 2008, effective date of the amendments approaches, and the necessary changes made to foreclosure documents and procedures.
